What bearing does a border have to do with a guy being murdered? What did I miss?

Oh come on, please don't make this a Canada/US thing.....I'm sure most American cops are good guys and I know for sure that cops.there are plenty of asinine Canadian cops.....I know because I dated one of them..... This is not the time for US cops to post blogs defending themselves........that border makes it safe for the Canadian cop.....

The fact that you like to shoot your mouth off does not in any way require another person to do the same at your bidding. Every policeman is sworn to do a job & it is understood what he or she is supposed to do. I am not aware of any rule other than the one you just made requiring them to condemn a crime in fact the badge they wear means they are against crime.

I'm reluctant to proclaim that most American cops are good guys. I'll be the first to acknowledge its a tough risky job. But there are many bad cops out there and there's a culture of protecting their own that is a dark chapter of the playbook. A lot of these cops are quick to judge and frankly they do a poor job of keeping the peace in general. Take a look at them. Many of them are obese. Americans have seen cops poorly perform in school shootings and video clips are now abundant of abuses. it got so bad they had to resort to body cameras. Installing cameras at intersections has done more to save lives and control traffic than they ever did. Having a visible police presence is a good thing but too many localities fall short of needs and this just breeds abuse. It isn't right to put too much on them and when we do we invite trouble. The reality is more cops have an arrogant thirst for power than a compelling desire to keep the peace and guarantee justice. If that were not the case then the masses would push out the bad cope with regularity. The bottom line is police presence is a very effective deterrent to crime. President Clinton put 50,000 more police on the streets and it made an enormous difference. We've all read stories of planting evidence, raids on the wrong apartments and African American men shot and killed in their own backyard. The number of abuses is simply appalling. Crime is complicated to cope with and there are many contributing factors involved. So it isn't easy to clean up problems. If there was a genuine sense of justice there wouldn't be social unrest. It starts there. The men in blue are failing the public. They need to do a lot more and politicians constantly make it worse by promoting racial division, under funding requirements, refusing to implement strong gun control measures and not focusing more on social ills like domestic violence, unemployment, inadequate wages and lack of swift and fair justice. I'm not attacking all cops but its clear...they are failing in their responsibility and people are fed up with it. That tells you a lot.

You don't have to agree, but you have to tgry and understand. I just waste my time talking about with you.. You just hear what you want to hear. So I disagree with Trump about the HOW... and to lesser degree about the WHAT.. But it's..The how that makes me HATE him.. HOW he spreads evil Now you seem to believe I agree with you on the What..which I mostly do.. However, you are not immune to the HOW of Trump..the way you open the door to evil.. You know damn well all cops aren't responsible.. The evil... you allow other people to justify.. this response does it again.. WTF don't YOU understand? Not by a Lon g shot...i am very specific...they are failing. A few might not be fat...yet. The protests and the resulting looting and vandalism..Is being done, in name of George Floyd and three cops that have NOT been arrested. I know nothing about the three cops, other than they are cops. Maybe all three should be arrested, maybe none of them should be arrested... I DON'T KNOW. The "complicity" .. has been resolved with their firing. Without evidence of direct involvement to the taking of a life, Their arrest should not happen. people will disagree..with that.. not because it's wrong, but because it doesn't fit their agenda. The complicity as it's stands without further evidence....is not the complicity of the three cops..but the complicity of the entire police force. In a country in which doing the right thing..has all kind of caveats.. Police and protesters are not immune. the hypocrisy is Chaos. It is likely, one or two of the three cops...were not racist but handcuffed by some archaic "blue code".. Where the police... don't police themselves. That is the real issue, not racism. Conversely.. protesters, have some perverse "victim code".. In which protesters refuse to police themselves. That is the other issue. Complicity for protesters would mean that all protesters are complicit in the arson, looting and vandalism, because they do nothing about it. It all an hypocrisy. Doing the right thing.....has nothing to do.... with doing the easy thing..
