....... That would be my worst nightmare~~ amp;

You were wise to not express your feelings on this subject. He may be trying to make the best of a situation he wasn't expecting.

Now a days many people are making the conscious decision to either limit the number of kids they have or not have any at all...

IT IS JUST AS WELL YOU ABSTAINED FROM EXPRESSION YOUR OPINION BUT YOU ARE RIGHT IN NOT WANTING A BABY WHEN YOU ARE ALREADY 67 OR 69 LIKE YOUR FRIEND. THE MOTHER WILL MOST LIKELY BE A WIDOW RAISING A CHILD AND UNLESS YOUR FRIEND CAN PROVIDE MEGA FOR THEM, THE YOUNG WOMAN'S LIFE WILL BE DIFFICULT. WHAT IS THE KID GOING TO SAY TO SCHOOLFRIENDS WHEN HE IS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND DAD, AGE 80 COMES TO PICK HIM UP??? YIKES!

All I am seeing is $$$$ signs with this. Not saying all young women r like that, but she could have done it differently. I heard of this before. And who is to say the kid is really his ? He better get a paternity test done ! Just my opinion !

Way too old in my opinion.. My eldest son became a dad at 39 for the first time and he thought he was rather old starting a family. Anyway to each their own as the saying goes.

Providing the baby is even his - and he could just be her pension plan, many have a younger 'man friend' that's unbeknown to the husband.

Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.
