I watched that cat. It was cute.  After this pandemic ends, I just want things back to normal and try to forget this happened. I do want scientists though to be better prepared since clearly this is something that can happen again unless precautions are taken.Elaine Shuel

When our West Virginia Governor talks about "running to the fire" when there is an outbreak, he was talking about prisons where a few inmates tested positive. What wasn't talked about is a recent outbreak at the local Wal-Mart where at 30 staff members tested positive. They are in the back of the line to get the vaccine. I find that troubling. It seems like the young people are the ones taking the financial hits and the risks. Abracadabra

The biggest issues that have affected me are the closings of gyms and libraries. I hope to get vaccinated soon.

Personally, the virus hasn't affected Joe and me all that much. We were pretty much stay at home folks anyway, except when we traveled to spend time with our friends. That ended after Joe broke his leg on one of those trips, and then one of the friends died. Our little routine outing was a once a week supper with a small group of folks who have booths in the same shop that we do. Of course that was stopped, and when the restrictions were lifted, we met for supper one Friday evening, and the very next day is when Joe fell and broke his arm. So it's really other circumstances rather than the virus that keeps us at home. I do more online delivery and pick up at the door shopping these days, but I do go in person occasionally. My daughter had done the pick up at the door shopping long before the virus, and she loved it. I prefer to pick out my own produce, but have been satisfied with having others do it sometimes. My grandmother kept a journal. I do not know why, and it wasn't every day, but it was interesting to read some of the things she felt was important enough to write down. One thing that struck me as odd, was she wrote down anything that others did for her, like when my husband and I took her groceries.... she even listed everything. It must have meant more to her than I ever knew until after she was gone. I kept a prayer journal once upon a time, but after it was filled, I never bought a new one. When we were kids, we called it a diary. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I'm a little nervous about it but I try to go during their designated senior hours and it's usually pretty quiet at that time. That's really moving about your grandmother's journal. I'm sure you're glad to have it. I have one my grandfather wrote but it's not in English so I'm out of luck! (Have been thinking about having it translated.) A day without dance is .... just kidding. I never kept a diary, my husband did. I can't see me starting one now in all honesty. But I do love to find old cards and letters from way back, especially from loved ones that are no longer with us. I miss all the normal everyday things I took for granted. Almost all of my shopping now is done on line, which I quite enjoy, maybe a bit too much.  I must check out the talking cat, sounds like a good laugh.  I could do with that on this very wild and wet day here in Dublin .

Finally got an appointment for vaccination on March 7. There was lot of problems trying to get into the website because of high activity. The site opened at 8 AM, and I go registered at 11 PM.

Found the one you mention, but the high-pitch voice was kind of annoying.
