Got her new five years ago and it took almost that long to fall in love. I got a Fender Blues Jr amplifier a year or so later and that improved the relationship. Then I went through a bunch of guitar pedals because the Blues Jr. is kind of a one trick pony. Now I am using a Line 6 M9 box for overdrive, reverb and delay ... it's true love.

For those in here who know me, this isn't my first blog ... I haven't been happy with the political negativity I've been involved in on this site over the years so I deleted everything ... a fresh start.

My dad could play several different instruments. I would fall asleep most every night listening to him practice. He would often ask what I wanted to hear----It was always---Under The Double Eagle on the guitar. JP Cormier does it well on U tube. It goes back to 1893. Most who play it go up tempo but that messes it up because it was originally a military marching tune. Cormier does too many hot licks in it also----best kept simple on the guitar. I also like country sons where the singer stops & the lead guitar then picks out the words that singer used.-----Then the singer picks up again. That is part of the beauty in country music.-----while the rhythm instruments set out the sequence on which the dancers boot sole front contact the floor. In Texas we call it boot skootin. LOL Cowboys know to NEVER lift feet totally of the floor when dancing.----only green horns or yankees do that. LOLOL Such as Boot Skootin Boogie by Brooks & Dunn. It's not about the guitar---It's what you do with It. LOLOL Also Duane Eddie ---Rebel Rouser----back in high school days. Play On!

A great example of a lead guitar repeating much of the singers words after almost every sequence is in the song--Help Me Make It Through The Night---- by Sammi Smith. That is one great guitar picker. Party On!
