Very interesting use of color! I personally am not good at combining colors but I love seeing nice examples of it like this one.

A day without dance is .... just kidding. I have no idea!

There is expressing how and what we feel and there is how our audience receives/interprets it......One's intention and the viewer's response are often wildly divergent.............

'Interpreting and expressing how and what we feel is integral' -

Yes. I am reminded of Richard Wagner's belief that the purpose of art is to make the unconscious, conscious. Your watercolour reminds me of a calm, relaxed Rorschach ink blot with depth.

I see a calf , a person, and a Rhinoceros..

A half golden calf and half devil dog....Kicking in the face of someone who feeds it,
while he is being held up by a RINO..

Looks familiar to me.. LOL

I see a storm....turbulence and pain with a warm calm approaching........

The responses towards your painting have been revealing (?). At the risk of repeating myself, I really like your artwork - it seems measured, calm.

I have shown my work for more than 5 decades and It took me many years to accept how reluctant people are to respond to art.......Many people don't enter galleries because they are terrified of being asked their opinion.

There are those who are fluent in "art-speak" and use many words to say nothing.

There are those who see nothing in a Jackson Pollock or are angry that his work is prestigious........and feel betrayed by any art that doesn't depict photographic reality...........

All those years of listening to patrons and jurors and experts and I've received very little feedback I can relate to........A sculpture I did 20 years ago comes to mind......I had it in several shows, but no feedback.....people were afraid of it.....but one day, I just happened to be in the room when an ancient woman with a cane burst out laughing when she saw it.........And I felt vindicated.......One person got the joke....that's all I needed.

I've done a lot of facilitating and teaching too and I love doing that, but I retired from that several years ago......I was discussing getting back to that with another artist recently, now that Covid restrictions are easing up and she said ....."Sometimes it's time to leave it to the next generation." Perhaps so, but I really miss teaching......
