I pray that everyone in its path will be safe.Its a dangerous world.

Hopefully it will stay a bit east.... We had a Hurricane about 3 years ago. We have plenty of candles, a gas grill on the patio which we didn't think of and I walked out on the patio 3 days later saw it and came in and asked Alfie to come out as I wanted to show him something. He did and I asked him what kind of grill it is, he replied, a gas grill and I said we could have cooked on it. We are total electric so we figured we couldn't cook or use lights. Our neighbor across the street brought us some meat they had cooked when they asked if we had electricity and I said, no just lots of candles. We had other fruit and veggies ate them with chips or crackers and cookies. I also have lots of ice cubes I can put in bags and keep stuff cold in our large coolers. We still laugh remembering and definitely know what to do now!

Found out grandkid doesn't have school tomorrow and we r getting bad weather. I have an appoint early AM too !

A woman I worked with in New Brunswick goes to Clearwater FL for six months at this time of year. I emailed her to ask who she fared with Ian. Apparently there was minimal damage in Clearwater. a
