Foto Friday ":F"...a bit delayed

While I worked in town "My Gal Friday" put things in order.

My Austro/Hungarian Dining set is DONE. 3 coats of plastic protectorant

We now walk through a project I'd started after Thanksgiving Day.

I pin stripped the chairs to match the color of the old Flag.

Finding an incredible fabric at Hobby Lobby each seat has a rose centered on it.

The dining room is now ready for our friends Max & Alex to enjoy with us. I've been asked for a feature layout in BETTER SLUMS & HOVELS magazine

With all the precipitation my lawn care/ landscaping business has gone NUTZO> I've had to join in with Martin to get things caught up. Luckily my old JD-425 is all right foot controlled. My Gal cleaned the carpet and with JD's help put everything back. A touch of civilization once again permeates this old dump.

Photo Friday is a good aspect of SFF whereby we members share what's on our minds along with the week's accomplishments. Regrettably my work vs free time sorta delayed my response

WoW!! What a great job on restoration of the dining room suite. It looks fantastic! You should be very proud of your excellent workmanship and attention to detail.

Roger it is perfect in every detail. It has cost me so much time and energy to complete.

Spring/summer precipitation makes grass grow like crazy. I am finding the same thing happening here after many months of drought. We got 6mm of rain here at 6:24 this morning in a short cloud burst accompanied by thunder.

I'm glad to hear that JD helped your cleaning gal put the carpet back in place. Alex and Max will be amazed.

Darter, that is what the blog section is for. It is not for character defamation as portrayed by one person whose name I will not mention.

There's been others and it is time to get it cleaned up and rooted out. Also the divisive pol;itical shit.

Nice pictures.

I think everyone has a favorite furniture. Mine is a chair in a bedroom corner of the man cave. It is so favored that I would never sit on it. I only look at it. LOL
Enjoyment comes from realizing the skill and effort someone put into making it.
Party On!

We have a Louis XV chair that falls into that same semi-sacred realm, however, it has to be the most comfortable chair in the parlor. The amount of work that goes into a piece of furniture isn't realized with the cheap crap sold in stores today.

OK OK LOL
When I was a kid, my mom would sometimes ask my dad what she should cook.
He would often laugh and say ------How about some Hungarian Goulash----Then they both laugh.

To this day, I do not know if it was an inside joke or reality. LOL
Please enlighten me about Hungarian Goulash.

I am afraid I can't do any enlightening.... I do make it once in awhile here but not from any translated recipe from Hungary.

After some research there are MANY recipes for Hungarian Goulash... Far more than I can do in an blog at this time. Also most recipes are HUGE making way more than many in here could utilized. I have seen a couple I might be able to cut down to a reasonable amount for a single or a couple....WITHOUT leftovers for a week. I will try to work it in while Max & Alex are here from Chicago over the 4th of July.
