Stressed  As you can see in the photo our corn is getting stressed by the lack of rain right at tasseling time. When corn is stressed the leaves are pointed skyward so any rainfall is caught by the leaves and directed down the stem to the root zone.  Working on the medallions. |

A great deal of pain today. I am dreadfully tired not sleeping well last night. I have done some Martha Stewart work on those large medallions using various shades of gold coupled with particular brush strokes.

I have not decided just where I will place the medallions yet... out in the Beemer Pad or up in the shop.

Seems like there is a lack of soil moisture over most of the continent except the coastal south-east of the US. I hope you ca get some rain to mature your crops.

It was 88F here today, clear, light SE breeze. I was busy with 2 dogs. I did get the van washed by hand, but was unable to shorten the grass because too busy with dogs and counselling a neighbor with a severe case of PTSD.

I feel your pain Bret. I have been through years of level 10+ pain with kidney stones. I was taking oral Toradahl by the handful. The medallions are looking good. You may need to find a place for them in the mansion.

My folks always said the corn was rolled up..... same as stressed. It's nature's way of also protecting it from moisture loss by closing up the surface of the leaves. Tasseling time is not a good time to not have enough water, but we did get some rain last weekend and hopefully some more at the beginning of next week. Hope you can get some rest after that pie comes out of the oven. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

WE ARE WORRIED THE CORN AND WHEAT CROPS WILL BE POOR THIS YEAR OWING TO THE HEAT AND LACK OF RAIN IN SOME REGIONS. INTERESTING YOU MANAGE TO CONTROL THE PAIN A BIT BY MENTAL PROCESS, WE HAD AN INTERESTING TV PROGRAM ABOUT THAT TUESDAY EVENING. AMAZING WHAT THE BRAIN CAN DO.

Hopefully you will get a nice cool shower of rain sooner rather than later. It's lashing here at the moment, horrible morning. We get too much darn rain. Wish we could send some your way.
