I am not doing the best... MUTTs Inc & JD been pretty decent for me. I have just muddled around the house not really accomplishing much ... just stupid tasks that have to be done.

Oh Darter, I'm so happy to hear that your surgery has been moved up to next week. That is fantastic. After a few days of rest and healing you will be able to enjoy the remainder of summertime.

Good to hear that MUTTs and JD are understanding of you pain and suffering and helping out when they can.

Today will the last day of moderate heat before we enter a prolonged heat wave with temps maxing out at 95F with very little breeze. I am trying to prepare myself for it. Today I drove to a small town 38 km away and picked up a nice hamper at the County Food Bank. That will keep me in food for the next month with the exception of milk and celery, carrot. My obligatory bankruptcy payments are bankrupting me. I did manage to buy oil and filter to make a long overdue oil change on my old yellow taxi. The jug contained 5L of oil and the engine takes 6L so I am running 1L low until I can find some more money.

So what did I miss? Did the doctors finally find the problem?

Now is a good time to start planning ahead for the days after..... perhaps cook up a few things to freeze so that all they need is to be thawed and heated.
Make a "nest" where you can take it easy to recoup, books to read, movies to watch.... just whatever easy things you enjoy.
The recovery time is usually pretty good for most people, but you have been sick and weakened for awhile, so give yourself plenty of R&R.

Here you just turn in your "can money" for the 5 cent redemption.... LOL! I take a truckload in at the end of the summer from all our pop cans & bottles. ... like $100

I will keep my friends in here posted as best I can.... The pain has been off the scale and I have had to medicate myself to keep it tolerable.
