ASSASINO !!!

I AM SO G D ANGRY !!! I'D KILL HIM !!!

I'd baked a pie for dessert tonight with a nice dinner. I'd taken it out of the oven to cool. I came upstairs from the office and there stood JD & Ronnie eating HALF the G D PIE !!!

Remember those "cheap" GREEN ACRES Peaches?

They were NASTY tough, hard, not fit to put into Jello as planned.

I grabbed a can of applesauce. I added both cans to the "chopper" with a dash of cinnamon, cloves, allspice, sugar, and cornstarch.

Flour, salt and some lard well mixed with an old hand biscuit maker

~~~presto~chango~~~ I have some pie crust
After blending up the peaches into the applesauce mix I pour the pie-filling into the piecrust. I place the pie in a pre-heated moderate oven at 350 degrees for about an hour....
I expect a beautiful ~ perfect ~ PIE suitable for a BLOG... NOT a half MUNCHED PIECE OF CRAP!
IF you see the GREEN ACRES peaches .. I recommend NOT Purchasing them. Luckily I am resourceful and can generally get my way out of a mess in the kitchen. The other can I will mix into some jam or jelly
The pie mist have turned out spectacular if JD and Ronnie had already consumed half of it. It's too bad JD spoiled your blog picture, but it is obvious he loves you and loves your cooking/baking.
It got to 33F here for a minute, then the clouds started to gather for a 60% flurry session tonight and tomorrow. Temperatures falling of to a high of -3F on Tue. It is currently 26F and calm.
I walked the dog today and also chased the vacuum sucker through the shack. I then emptied and cleaned the canisters & filters on both upright vacuums. After that I made a big batch of spaghetti with a very spicy meat sauce. Had some for supper and it made my eyes water. Yummilicious.!
I don't think we got anywhere near the 40 F they'd forecast for us ... It's currently 28 F here. I am working on the gilding the dresser as my back allows.
I'm sorry this got you so upset, and I get why you are, but at least you know the pie tasted good, right?
You probably scared the heck out of them when you saw the half eaten pie. I bet they won't do that again!
I've yelled at JD before for messing with stuff out of the oven or off the stove without just asking. They could have had a piece after I'd taken a picture for the blog.
I had baked Rhubarb pie for a quest and after they and April had had one piece, her cat ate the entire rest of the pie. Maybe your pies are just that irresistable!
It was just an experimental Apple / Peach pie.... one I'd never tried before.
IF I'd heard them come IN I would have hollered at them to leave the pie alone.... at least till I got a good picture.
