I LIED..............!

Last night while in chat I told everyone about the delicious food from our local family restaurant >>> 7 STARS <<<

The owner (red arrow ) with his also long time assistant (blue arrow) have prepared some of the best reasonably priced meals in the county. No frills .. just good food cooking.. They know us and treat us like family too!

I'd told my friends in chat the meal was $8 .............. They raised the price to $8.10!

Your choice a cup of homemade chicken & dumpling soup or a fresh green salad....

After a chilly ride into town I took the soup !

Here is my Walleye Pike and baked potato !!!! Home made tarter sauce too!

I asked for separate ticket from JD to show the price hike.... the gal just laughed JD had the "Farmer Steak" smothered in grilled green peppers, mushrooms, and onions... only my picture screwed up.. my lens fogged up !

This comes pretty dang close from the net.

If you're ever tooddling around North Iowa getting hungry... This is the place to stop and get refilled! 3 Generations of this family will see to it you are well fed

The assistant in the kitchen Caesar.. started working there when he was 15-16 years old waiting tables... He has learned the ropes knowing all the aspects of the restaurant trade. I was a little kid and my Grandpa brought me in for hamburger and french fries!!!

The picture looks like a typical small town in Iowa. That is where you find the best restaurant food.

Your 3 piece fishy special appears to have 4 pieces on the plate. That is because you are part of their family after being longtime loyal customers. Looks "really yummy", as Strt would say.

You won't even find a burger and fries around here for $8.10. More like $13, even and Micky D's. Closer to $20 in a regular restaurant.

It was clear, light SW wind, 35F here today. Hopefully 32F tomorrow, then we get snow Sunday night and Monday. Also back to colder temps.

I took the dog or a long walk today, then chatted with the neighbor for a bit. He has a welding project for me, so I did some design work for it, and will do the cutting and welding tomorrow.

Sounds like a really good place to eat, very good value too. I nearly pay that for a latte and cake here in some restaurants.

Still snow on the ground here, paths very slippery in places too. I will have to walk ever so slowly if I decide to go out.

I haven't a clue as to the cost of a basic burger & fries Most of the time we grab our meal and run eating it on the fly. except when it comes to set down dinner........ I love the set down dinner someone else cooks and cleans up after me.

The last place that I really enjoyed food is at Elizabeth's pizza over where my last bf lives. When I lived in NY I used to love a good meatball pizza. They make it great like we had it in NY. Sliced meatballs, not chunks ! It is a sweet little cozy place

Shoot, my favorite little restaurant shut down 10 years ago when the owner got sick. His wife tried to keep it going, but she had to finally give it up to take care of him. They sold it and the new owners were disgusting! The place was dirty, the new owner's wife had all her little pets running around, holding her dog while cooking food. No way was I going to even try the food! They closed down because no one would eat there anymore and now the building sits there empty.

My other favorite place to eat closed down during the plandemic.
