Our Friends can't get out of Chicago and will try to get here tomorrow ( Sunday ) I am going to roast a goose with dressing, sweet potatoes, baked beans, dinner rolls, pasta salad, and a Jello salad. Gawd what a mess the weather made this year. We are just getting dug out here too with traffic slowly getting back to a normal winter driving condition. Currently partly cloudy 10 F ... -12 C here with a steady wind.

MerrChristmast, Darter and to all your family and friends your Christmas dinner sounds delicious here we are doing the traditional turkey plus all the trimmings weather report here is 0 c blue skies and sun and a lovely warm wind lol going to get the tank top out and the flip flops lol take care

MERRY CHRISTMAS Bret, JD, MUTTs Inc, Pumpkin, Max and Alex. I do hope that M & A can manage to fly out of Chicago sometime during the holidays, and especially be around to celebrate JD's birthday with y'all. Hopefully your weather will continue to improve. Here we hit an unexpected high temp of 43F with a brisk SW wind. My driveway was snowed shut, so I spent 90 minutes behind the snow blower, and got soaking wet from the snow blowing all over me. Had to put my clothes in the dryer when I was done and put the snow blower back in the garage so it could melt down. I had a nice Christmas Eve turkey dinner with most of the trimmings. I am going over to the neighbor's place for a visit and glass of wine at 7:45 pm. The coffee cooker is programmed to make a fresh pot at 7 am Christmas morning. Merry Christmas to everyone that reads this blog.

Wow, you are roasting a goose, my traditional Christmas dinner, when in Germany! We serve it with potato dumplings and red apple cabbage. Our temps here are -6 C....brr. Just got an alert that we might have a blackout as too many users are overloading the power grid. I wish you a Merry Christmas! Stay warm and comfortable and enjoy the time with all friends around!
