2022 Holiday Train

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train came back for its 24th year supporting food banks and food shelves.

The Special Train raised money, food, and awareness for food pantry security issues.

This Blog is to wake up STR..... CP also serves Eastern Iowa. CP also uses the track North of us... Their whistle is different than normal. Alex is kinda helping me here.

That CP holiday train is a sight to behold. It passes right through my village on its way to Lethbridge, where it stops and opens up the stage for a live performance from notable musicians. People turn out in droves to be entertained and to donate to the Food banks.

It was a pretty nice day here, mainly calm, sunny and a high of +3C (37F). I spent a couple hours in the morning helping a young fellow 2 doors down diagnose a problem with a power window on his 1995 TransAm. Turned out it needs a new motor, which is on order from GM .

I had a turkey drumstick and dressing for supper; apple pie for dessert. Got a Xmas card in the mail from San Francisco that was mailed on Dec 13. That's speedy delivery, no?

They had an impressive line up of performers this year too. JD dug out Guitar Hero... Him and <Max are on an evil plane of egotism.... Alex and I are just keeping our distance. Sorry if I missed you ion chat we just been in an eclectic mode of time passages....

I'd say the US postal dis-service with the Royal Canadian ,mail might need a dose of laxative. Both seem to be rather constipated. Mercedes said it was 5 C... 40 F here after the sun poked out. MUTTs Inc have just been overly helpful while <Max & Alex are here...... Miss Roxy..... Guns & Roses video with Izzy's Rottweiler made me cry.

What a beautiful old train!, I've never seen it before.

Wow, Guitar Hero? LOL, my daughter and I wore that game out years ago.

HiYa STR... the CP train raises money for our food pantries, as well as, provides great entertainment along the way.
