By Request  JD put in a request for my hamburger stew. He wanted homemade bread but I just couldn't fit it into my schedule. With his birthday Friday I thought "What the heck" and made a HUGE kettle of it. I lost track of how many bowls he had... *** hangs head in shame *** I ate *three* bowls. Hamburger, home canned tomato juice, potatoes, onions, carrots, celery, and peas all simmered for the afternoon.  All tuckered out from playing "puppy" out in the snow Ruby just laid quietly while we ate dinner thinking we might drop something from the table. JD eats like Henry VIII tossing food to MUTTs Inc. |

dang chemo sick.... just typing and posting till I can lay down. Wind is howling out there. -9 C ....... 15 F Gonna need a BIG log to stay warm tonight. I have an angel-food cake with orange icing for the church social brunch in the morning.. hope the roads are decent. Lucky to have my online chat buddies in the LOBBY at night to visit with. Cold weather and hamburger stew go well together. I think I will make some on the weekend when the high temp is going to be around 0F. You can tell how appreciative JD is of your culinary skills by how much he eats.
