Foto Friday ... Project  Black Hills Gold Black Hills gold jewelry depicts leaves, flowers, grape clusters and vines. It is made with alloys of gold with standard yellow gold as well as green and pink gold. In 1980, the 8th Circuit Court affirmed an injunction ruling that if a manufacturer was to call its jewelry Black Hills Gold, then it must be made in the Black Hills.  Original Black Hills Gold is a unique American art form created the way it was originally made... by hand. No two pieces are alike. Black Hills Gold is a style, a trademark, a tradition of jewelry incorporating a basic design of wild grape clusters with vines, flowers, and leaves of pink, green and yellow.  ( Foto Friday Project ) I am going to try to replicate this art form by mixing an oil based gold paint with water based colored paint on an old 1980's (ish) picture frame. Should be interesting if it turns out. .... Never tried it before..... IF I screw it up I can always gild it and cover it up OR toss it in the fireplace ! |

I kinda O.D.ed myself on some meds falling sound asleep on the office floor while chatting in the LOBBY. JD & MUTTs Inc must have come in from the horses and not awakened me... Hard to believe... but TRUE!. I woke up about 01:30 with Ronnie on one side and Rosie on the other. Strange dream.... I was a kid again playing BATTLESHIP with a friend up in my old bedroom at home~~~ See what "Mind Altering Drugs" will do to you ! Dang nausea ( chemo sick) won't go away and I took 3 X the dose tonight. Of course the Buffalo Wild Wings we had for dinner probably didn't help. I spray painted the frame black and now I better go crawl into bed with Birthday Boy. Nighty Night from Frosty North Iowa.
