President's Day Happy President's Day This Monday, February 20, marks Presidents Day. The federal holiday falls on the third Monday of February, commemorating America’s 45 commanders in chief (Grover Cleveland served two nonconsecutive terms, so is considered the 22nd and 24th US President.) Four* Presidents were born in February; George Washington (February 22, 1732), William Henry Harrison (February 9, 1773), Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809), Ronald Reagan (February 6, 1911). |

Not all states recognize the holiday... Iowa is one of them except Federal buildings are closed and employees have a paid day off. As I see it these men didn't become Great by taking the day OFF They kept their nose to the old grindstone with diligent work. One item is the President's Day's Sales.... esp if you need a mattress or appliance... LOL!

Interesting that your President's day falls on the third Monday of February like our family day does. Not all the provinces and territories observe family day in Canada. Federal government employees such as postal workers do not get the day off as it isn't a federal stat day.

I'm late, but Happy President's Day to all Americans. I had a quiet Family Day here in Canada. Tonight it is snowing and blowing big time. Tomorrow will be snow blower day.
