You have a strong Eye...... the function of the Eye is not only as an observer of beauty, but a creator of beauty. I have always enjoyed being around people with a strong eye.....

I like your finds. I have a couple of acrylic trivets that have the pebble look with lady bugs in it. And my utensil holder is a crock looking cookie jar that I found at a garage sale for almost nothing because it had a chip on the inside of the rim. I had been looking at similar ones at a specialty shop for over $30. I don't think things have to "go together" as long as they are things we like. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

My gosh ET that is not junk, these are eccentric pieces of art that have a function in the kitchen and a center piece for communications between friends and family. Good work.

Wow Earthy you have quite a treasure trove there. Unfortunately I don't have any more room for treasures such as yours. When we have junk day in the spring I am sure some of the discarded items appear somewhere in someone's place. One person's junk and another person's treasure. You are at least doing the recycling thingy Earthy.

I love your "junk" ET! It proves the truth of the saying "One man's junk is another man's treasure" A lady with an eye. indeed!

Good going ET, you have found stuff that can be decent and put to good use. It's amazing what people throw out. I found a lovely glass lamp shade in perfect condition that is not on my big lamp. Looks great.

That would be lovely.......i once had a side business buying junk and selling antiques....which included vintage clothing.......I had 4 employees......I still keep my eye out. I found a very over-the-top ornate, but in good shape, gilded wood and plaster picture frame....about 20by 30 in........It sat in a corner for years, then, one day, I was looking at a stretched canvas painting I had done, which I didn't like, and I thought of cutting off the portion I didn't like.........You can't cut off a part of a stretched canvas without destroying it, so I put it off......Then I thought of that old frame and I cut some 1/4 inch plywood to fit in the frame, cut my painting to the same size.....(with my heart in my mouth because there would be no turning back)and I glued the canvas to the plywood. I then re-gilded the frame......Voila!......
