The Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test....a 30 point test that is designed to assess mild impairment, like early Dementia or Alzheimers.........that's all.....takes 10 minutes.......you can draw a clock and can recognize a lion, giraffe and hippo........and a cube.........Trump actually bragged that he "aced" it....

I took that 'test'... it was when my sister was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and I was beginning to 'forget' things. I DID ace it..as my doc expected me to ...lol

My grandaughter has started watching me cook, because I don't use recipes.......I whipped up some pancakes one morning and she was confused as to how I knew how to do it without a recipe.........she got tired of me saying "experience"....LOL

So I saute' onion and garlic.......I prefer ghee, but oil works. Then I add chicken stock ....sometimes I made it, sometimes I bought it. Then I add cubed pumpkin and some apple and simmer until soft then cool it and put it in the blender.I heat it up again and add Thai Kitchen red curry paste and coconut milk.......

Of course, you can use canned pumpkin .....I tend to only make it out of my own pumpkins or from the market.

Apples pair very nicely with savory dishes. I always put an apple in my sauerkraut when I heat it up. Sometimes with sauerkraut I add apple, potato and double smoked sausage. I guess if you rinse the sauerkraut before heating it up that would take away some of the sourness. When I make stuffing for turkey or chicken apple goes in that as well. I am sure that squash and pumpkin soups with added apple to them makes a very nice soup.
I am not going to comment on Trump as he is one I try to avoid when it comes to watching TV. I have a friend who watches CNN all the time and of course the news is about Donald Trump 24 hours a day non stop. Our Canadian news is always full of what Trump is doing and not doing.

I also like to put a stem or two of fresh lemon grass in this soup, but I seldom have it on hand.....

I agree.....I live in an apple-orchard and make lots of apple-sauce and freeze and can it......I don't add any sugar to it and use it in lots of savoury dishes.....It pairs well with chicken and pork......and my favourite dressing for Cobb salad is to bake a whole apple and a whole onion and put them in the blender with some oil and seasoning.......
