Isn't is amazing that things we used to just slip into our busy schedules and them done without another thought have now become our goals?
I too, have a load of laundry that needs done, but also have one in the dryer that needs to be folded and put away. It may or may not get done today. I did get the dishwasher emptied.
I made a few little goals for the weekend. I would like to get our income tax filed and out of the way. I also have a couple of "thinking of you cards" to write and a package to get ready to mail to a friend. The walk in the sunshine out to the mail box was a reminder that it would soon be time to start planning the outside chores too.
I am beginning to think today will be a bust though, because my knee is bothering me and I seem to want to fall asleep every time I sit down.
Enjoy your weekend, whatever you chose to do, and whatever you get accomplished. I've learned that the world doesn't stop turning if I don't get everything done.

My goal today is to manage to go to the toilet and the fridge without screaming.....I have chronic back issues that cause me to be slightly crooked all the time and excruciatingly bent sideways some of the time.......I went to my painting group yesterday morning fit as a fiddle and excited to go to a piano and violin concert in the evening.....I left 4 hours later in so much pain I couldn't drive.....Today I am a caterpillar....inching along with a cane....though a caterpillar with a cane is a misnomer......as bad as a worm in a vest........

There's nothing wrong with hiring some help. I know people who are still younger who hire others to do those things they either don't have time to get done or just don't like to do. Joe and I have had hired assistance for over a year and a half.
As for tomorrow, we are expecting fantastic weather and Joe wants to get out of the house, so we will probably go out for a late lunch. Since he broke his leg, he doesn't like to go out when it's really cold or if it's raining or snowing. He walks ok with his walker, just a lot slower.
Your mention of your car reminds me that one of ours needs washed, so tomorrow would be a good day to take it to the car wash.

OMG Earthy how can you watch Dr. Pimple Popper...I watched a bit of it one night and I almost got sick. I did not know people existed with problems like that. I haven't watched my feet are killing me as yet. There are some strange realty shows on now. I am still watching The Bachelor. I am not enthralled with Peter at all. Tomorrow night (Sunday) I will be watching American Idol and on Monday night The Voice begins.

Your comments don't express concern for my health.....I have never had a problem with elimination.....I expressed back-pain, yet you went off on some fantasy trip about my elimination......It does however begin to explain you and Hank's obsession with enemas.

My gramma taught me sewing when I was young too, but since I never followed through with it, I've lost all those skills. I have trouble even threading a needle these day so I got some self threading ones, and even more trouble trying to hold it and use it. Don't even have a sewing machine anymore.
I do have some iron on stitch witchery and occasionally use that for hemming. Recently I bought some fleece lounge pajamas with thermal tops for Joe and they were too long. I checked in to having them hemmed and found it a bit pricey, so I went online to see if the iron on tape would hold..... found out that the fleece can be just cut off and not hemmed, it won't fray. Great! Since they are only worn around home, that works fine.
One problem solved.

I recently hemmed 2 pairs of pants for my son. I embroidered little red hearts on the inside of both hems when I was done....what else can a momma do?

My son's pants didn't require that "handy-work" either, the little hearts aren't visible on the outside ......just my momma signature......
