Home grown herbs are the best! Cute photo of the dove family. Don't you just love their call?! There is a nest under the eaves of the condo building next door and I can hear the birds calling every morning around sunrise.

A day without dance is .... just kidding. I have no idea!

Two nice pictures, the Dove looks very comfortable, doesn't it.

Really nice photos Earthy. Basil is one of my favorite herbs to use in cooking. When I am in the grocery store and I see basil I cannot resist rubbing my finger on one of the leaves. It has a nice medicinal smell. The photo of the "bird" is cute too and has a nice place to make it's nest.

That basil looks really tempting, lovely and fresh too. The doves have made themselves right at home, really cute. Nice photos.

Having fresh basil on hand is a cook's 'must' I think. Your potted basil looks very healthy. I've got a couple that are going on the rangy/scraggly side but once their seeds drop, I should see some baby basil some time soon hopefully.

What a beautiful bird is the mourning dove. Lucky you that she has chosen to nest and raise her family in close proximity to you. I love its call (which I haven't heard in a while). Thanks ET :- )

I tried to capture a picture of the barn swallows that was swooping around our yard the other day, but they didn't stop and pose for me like your beautiful birds did for you. I need to research using basil, as well as borage.

I should grow my own Basil. Love sliced tomatoes with Mozzarella, olive oil and basil.
The dove found a safe, warm home for her family. Thanks for sharing.

Basil and a family of birds. That is awesome. I DO grow my own basil. We used to feed the birds but it attract the bears and that is a b-word that I like to see at a distance.
