Hecate at the crossroads I am working in my classroom The topic is Greek mythology Everyone has chosen a god or goddess to become. I decide to become Hecate. Her name has floated up, somewhere, from the past, from my twenties, from a small cabin in the woods with no heat or plumbing, from a time I have almost forgotten. Hecate--surfaces back into my life she is the goddess of the crossroads ancient one of the precursors to the Greek pantheon she appears just when I need her She holds up her two torches and illuminates my darkness and I realize my life will be the same as it has always been in service All I need to do is ask and surrender
