Venus Retrograde and The Backroad to Monticello

Venus went into Retrograde on March the 6th and will go direct on April 17. Since Star is a Libra and the ruling planet of Libra is Venus - this means that Star's Love Life is going to be dismal until - Mid April.

Nevertheless, it is a good time to retreat - evaluate lessons learned for past loves - use those lessons as tools to skyrocket a successful outcome in Love after April 17th so.............

Thus far, I've been stood up on one date - and two other dates canceled. Typical Venus Retrograde

So..........The Alternative is a pity pot party or go on the date anyway.

So Friday- Semper Fi canceled our date to St; Jude's Fish Fry so I went on the date minus the date. What I find amazing is the fact that Mr. Semper Fi lives three houses away from that Church. My Black Gentleman Friend lives in Northern Virginia close to Washington DC. He actually RENTED a car for driving to Central Virginia just to for a Lunch Date while Mr. Semper Fi couldn't even walk 300 feet to keep a date. When I stopped by Mr. Semper Fi's abode to say Howdy, He was busy watching the Beverly Hillbillies.

Oh Well, I wonder who had the better time at our date.

So, I've always wanted to share the experience of Monticello through the eyes of Star so yesterday, I called one of my Plenty of Fish Contacts and let him know that we have a date to Monticello on Sunday.

March 15
Bicentennial of Jefferson’s Return to Monticello
The 200th anniversary of Thomas Jefferson’s return to Monticello on March 15, 1809, following his second term as president, will be commemorated with an event on the West Lawn. Featured will be noted character interpreter Bill Barker portraying Jefferson and period music by the Williamsburg Field Musick fife and drum corps. 1 p.m. Free (admission required for house tours).

I was trying to decide what to wear. I opted to wear a flowing dress versus the blue jeans that I usually wear. I called my date and I wanted to wear something special just for him including the pink lacey string bikini underwear.

This morning, I punched Monticello into my GPS and let it guide me on the Back roads to Monticello. The Virginia Back roads on a Winter trying to be Spring Day is awesomely beautiful. It's a combination of the frozen Autumn Leaves with Green Leaves Buds waiting to be awaken.

When I arrived to Monticello, I noted that there was a three mile hiking trail near the entrance. I considered the possibility of hiking that trail later in the day.

I was told that I would need a ticket to get the West Lawn. The ticket was free unless I wanted to the House Tour which I didn't. I needed it to get on the shuttle bus.

Nope! I don't need that Shuttle Bus. There is a 1/2 mile trail that leads to the top of the Mountain and the West Lawn.
Hiking in the rain is a healing experience for me. Water is emotions, and I've been very emotional lately. Most of the time, I identify with the song "Cowgirls don't cry" but there have been times when I can't stop crying. Thus I surround myself with water whenever I can.

The Trail to the top of the Mountain has growing the evidence of Jefferson's interest in Wild Flowers. They were all over the trail popping out of the winter ground.

I called my "Date" on my cell phone and told him - you are one of the few folks crazy enough to hike with me in the Rain. I've found some places on this trail where I would like to stop an give you a great big sizzling kiss. "Gee I hope your jeans don't shrink from getting all wet," he responded. "I didn't wear jeans. I am wearing a dress just for you" I responded back. As we reached the top of the hill, the

When I reached the top of the hill the gentlemen from the Williamsburg Field Musick fife and drum corps started playing their music and I had to end the call.

There was a theatrical looking gentleman watching the presentation. I commented to him, "You look like you could be part of the decor." He answered back, "Actually I play the part of James Monroe at Ash Lawn which is down the road.

I have to confess that "Thomas Jefferson" looked hot riding on the back of that to his Mansion on the Hill but "James Monroe"......................... Woo Hoo! That Man has got Fire! What an absolute superb specimen of masculinity.

However, I have this "Date" who is my current focus.

What is amazing is that when Thomas Jefferson returned to Monticello on March 15, 1809 - Two Hundred years ago, it was a rainy day just like today. I feel so honored to be able to trudge through the rain just to celebrate this special day with Thomas Jefferson. The man is my Hero.

As I made it back down the hill minus the shuttle - I opted to tackle the three mile trail on another day when I am more appropriately attired. Maybe one day after work now that the days are getting longer.

I got back on the road and gave my "date" a call. "Hey do you want to go out for Sushi or to Starbucks for fancy Java." I asked him. "Keep it simple until we do it for real" He answered back.

Okay, so I checked my financial realities and it was a Taco Bell Day. It costed three dollars and two cents. Dang! Star is a cheap date but what a wonderful experience.
