It is Historically documented that the Colonial Day Puritans whipped, jailed and hanged individuals who declined to live by strict religious codes. The Inquisition, the Burning Times of Europe, the Atrocities in the English Reformation and the Salem Witch Trails are also Historically Documented. Could it be that its the reason why you think highly of William "Jefferson" Clinton? My Reply: There is no comparison between the relationship between Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemmings versus William "Jefferson" Clinton and Monica Lewinski. Thomas Jefferson was a widower who had promised Martha Jefferson on her deathbed that he would not remarry. Although Sally had several including a who left Monticello and went into Society as White, there is Genetic Verification that Thomas Jefferson may be the be the Father of Madison Hemmings. William "Jefferson" Clinton was a known philanderer even before he became President. It came to light during the Election and folks still opted to vote him into office. It was the Republicans who decided that they had to invest Millions of Tax Dollars to investigate President Clinton's ill-gotten oral pleasure. If we had been at War or in a recession during the time that he was President, the Republicans may have had trouble getting the money to pay Kenneth Starr to write a report. Granted, Thomas Jefferson's relationship with Sally Hemmings may not have been "Politically Correct" but he did not betray his wife. He could not have married Sally even if he wanted to.
