Koran Burning Preachers and Bible Eating Dogs My 12 Step Training taught me to connect with God of my understanding. It was a relief to not have to listen to a Preacher ranting about all that "Fire, Brimstone, God is gonna get ya!" nonsense. When I was five years sober, I decided that I needed a Religion. I researched the different religions and discovered that the Episcopalians were the most educated. Since I value education, I decided to stick with the winners and became an Episcopalian. Since that time, I've become Unitarian when I am not meditating with the Quakers Indeed Episcopalian were educated in their thinking. Yes there is a God who proves himself through coincidences. The Bible contains Truths but may not be all literal Facts. So What. Mythology is not a bad thing - Many Major Religions explain things through Mythology. I purchased a New Jerusalem Bible and a Book of Common Prayers. The got ahold of my Bible and chewed it up to Smithereens. The Vicar suggested that I simply throw it away and buy a new Bible. That was an easy solution. The Catholics burnt Martin Luther's Version of the Bible but it didn't stop the Lutherans from creating a Reformation. If Ben Ladin opted to Burn Bibles - It won't stop Christians from being Christians. The Christian Bookstores can charge him double for the Bibles. So Now there is much ado about this Loonytoon Preacher who wants to burn the Koran on September 11th. This is really stupid. Nevertheless, Preacher Terry Jones has a solid constitutional right to burn any book he wants as long as he doesn't violate fire code. If he burns Korans, it doesn't change the words in the ones that the Lawabidding Citizens in the United States Possess. The only thing Preacher Terry Jones actions accomplish is to reveal him for the nutcase that he is. He is the reason why some folks opts to be non christians. Big Firetrucking Deal if the Radical Islamics in the other countries that they oppress are offended. They are looking for excused to be offended so that they can control their people. They are manipulating Spirituality for Political Power. The ate my Bible but it didn't stop me from finding a Spiritual Walk.  Abracadabra  |

sadly the loony tune Vicar will incite violence but not against himself ofcourse, he will no doubts be well guarded nope it will be innocent people the world over, people who just want to rub along with their neighbours and live their lives of course both sides will be doing it all in gods name ~ the usual excuse, rather than take responsibility for their own stupid actions give peace a chance and let people live their lives in peace

No .. no.. This will only incite the radicals and more innocents will pay the price. These people do not think the way we do. I agree with Daylily and Blackpool entirely.

Hi Star: This incident of threatening to burn Korans, the arson at the construction site of the new Mosque in Tennessee, and all the protests over the proposed new Mosque in N.Y.C. are all evidence of the intolerance that the Repubs and Tea Partiers have caused with their never ending hate campaign to bring about President Obama's downfall. They want people to get angry and hate anyone who looks different, acts different, talks different, or has different ideas and they will use fear, religion, 9/11, race, and any other rumour or conspiracy they feel will get Obama out and them in.
