The Dubious Ghost and Lucid Dreaming

Last year I moved into Ms. V's home as a night time care provider. Ms V was a Highly independent lady and the challenge was to assist her where needed while respecting her Independence.

She was housebound and on oxygen. She stayed up until 4am and slept until noon. She watched Satellite Television most of the time. She was especially fond of Ghost Hunters and other Paranormal related type programs.

We were Kindred Spirits and chatted about Astrology, Tarot, Reincarnation, Edgar Cayce and other subjects that some of her more conservative caretakers might have problems discussing. We especially talked about Ghosts.

This Summer Ms. V died peacefully in her home the way that she wanted to.

I am still in the House for the time being. Her family suggested that I move into the larger bedroom that was hers before she moved into a Hospital Bed in a smaller room.

Last week, I decided to sleep in Ms. V. room. I heard her say, "Please get out of my house!" I walked out of the bedroom into the hall way. There were entities flying around on both sides of me. Suddenly, I was paralyzed and couldn't move. I told Ms. V, no I'm not getting out your house until I am good and ready. I willed myself to move. I started screaming and kept trying to get unparalyzed. I felt myself jolted back into my body and woke up in the Ms. V's bed.

I was REM dreaming.

According to Google research - To dream that you are paralyzed, reflects the current state of your body while you are dreaming. During the REM state of sleep, your body is really immobile and paralyzed. It can also symbolize feelings of being helpless or pinned down in some aspects or circumstances of your waking life. You may feel unable to deal with a situation or change anything. Alternatively, the dream suggests that you are feeling emotionally paralyzed. You have difficulties expressing your feelings.

To see the ghost of a dead friend/relative in your dream, suggests guilt and regrets concerning the past relationships with that particular person.
To dream that you are receiving a message, represents a message from your unconscious.

Indeed, I feel the need to move on but I don't know where to go next. When I finally figure out where to go - It will all fall into place. It always does.
After the Dream, I went into the Living Room and sat in an Easy Chair. Sudden, doors started opening and slamming shut. The Dishwasher started opening and dishes started flying around the room.

"Dang! Bonnie, You are dreaming again. I thought to myself. Time to wake up girl. Wakie Wakie Bonijean. I started singing an obnoxious song that I used to sing to my sons when I was waking them up for school. "Wake Up Mr. Billy Walk Up. Get your cute little butt out of bed bed bed. Wake up Bonijean Wake Up! Get your big fat butt out of bed bed bed! Suddenly I woke up even though I was not in a bed. I fell asleep in the Chair.

I was Lucid Dreaming
According to Google research In a Lucid Dream, you can be aware that you are dreaming. Lucid dreams give you the ability to control your own dreams and steer them toward the direction you want. In the lucid state, you are more willing to confront threats and as a result, become more self confident.

Lucid Dreaming can be used as a tool for dealing with and overcoming Life's Challenges.

I have to laugh when I think about the nature of these dreams. Ms. V was housebound and oxygen. Despite all the Ghost stories that she loved watching, I am reasonable certain that Ms. V has better things to do in the spirit world than the haunt me in my dreams to boot me out of her earthly abode.

The dreams were simply my way of dealing with Ms. V's passing and the events that followed. I am sure she is not an Earthbound Spirit and she's very happy that I am taking care of her cat.
