Rock Hound Adventures in Washington DC

Found in Washington DC.
I found Ladybug Rock from Anne Arundel County, Maryland in Washington DC and she decided has made her way to West Virginia. She is currently keeping company with Greenbrier County, West Virginia's "I <3 Grumpy Rock.

It will be interesting to see if they manage to stay together for the rest of the journey or where they will land.

My sister has rocks from all over the country, but she doesn't paint them.... maybe she writes on the back of them to remember where they came from.
BTW, do you still do your geocaching like you used to enjoy?

making, finding, hiding, taking pictures to post on fb and re-hiding painted rocks is a popular sport in this area. I was just glad to find one from Maryland in Washington DC that I can add to the WV rock that I created, They are hidden in plain sight. I plan to hide them this morning at the Library where our Quaker Worship Group meets.

My father who was in the Military would send me rocks from all the places that he travelled. Vietnam, Australia, Hawaii, Wake Island, Etc.. I also collected them from every state that I had been. They got lost in the shuffle of life.

My GPS locator quit working last year and I haven't bought a new one yet. I know there is an phone application so I download that and get back into it.
