NFL Rookie shows true Patriotism

This is a 22 Year Old who gets it right

Very classy of @deshaunwatson to give his first game check to 3 women who work in the team cafeteria and lost everything in the flood. per Twitter

Houston Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson didn’t keep his first NFL game check for himself. He used it to help a few NRG Stadium cafeteria employees who have been helpful to the team and were affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Watson brought them envelopes and told them that he wanted to help them get back on their feet since he appreciates them so much. The employees immediately became emotional and wiped away tears as they thanked him. They also exchanged hugs in the incredibly touching moment

That is what it is about.
That picture is sad..... and it depicts a bad time in our society. BUT we cannot apply our standards of today to back then.... or to the days of slavery. It was what it was..... we just need to work to make it better.
And in my opinion, Watson has done more by sharing than all the others have done by causing conflict with their 'taking a knee'.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

    Quoting  :

Patriotism is more than just adhering to symbolic gestures. It is also about being a good citizen and reaching out to our fellow citizens when they are in need. It can also be about speaking out against injustice. Needless to say, the NFL needs positive publicity.

Maybe this situation with Kaepernik and Trump has really brought attention to another matter altogether. What does the National Anthem have to do with a football game anyway? Now everyone knows it is a show being put on to boost patriotism for military recruitment purposes, but how much of the U.S. budget is being spent on the expenses associated with the huge military they already have? I mean does the military constantly need more and more recruits? When they have enough recruits will they stop playing the National Anthem at football games?
