The Joy of Protests!!!

[ITHE QUESTION!!!!
]Where did HS get money to fly to DC, plus hotels and food to march? Some were given voter registrations too. Something fishy!

The Douglas High School Students flew to DC on the New England Patriots plane but the rest of the likely travelled to DC on Rally Buses. They spent long hours on the bus - stopped at McDonald's for breaks. The buses parked at the RFK Stadium Parking lot and they headed home immediately after the protest.

The price for hotels and even hostels are really jacked up during major protests and events in D.C. It is possible to spend the night on Church Floors.

There was a rumor that protestors at the Women's March were paid. I wish that were true. I could use the money.

My girlfriend and I went to the People's March on Climate Change. She drove us to Alexandria where we spent the night at the home of one of my friends and took the Metro into DC - the next day. Ironically, my 's in-laws were texting me on the other side of DC. They were at the William Penn House which was a reprise center. They took a Rally Bus from Kansas. It was a much longer ride than the one that I took that January from West Virginia.

Kids are pretty tough, they can spend a night or two in a bus or on a church floor. No doubt some come from fairly affluent families and were able to pay for a hotel room. This is probably just one of numerous protests to come.

There are ways to be in DC economically but during a huge protest, it's more difficult. I am in my 60's and I have spend time on buses and church floors but last time, my girlfriend and I were at a church with stone floors. They told us that we were welcome to take the very thin padding off the pews. There was one shower facility available that we were required to share with the homeless. I told my girlfriend that we were having tea with the Mennonites at the International Guest House.. Nice clean beds with an European Style Breakfast in the morning. $45.00 a night. Luckily this was not a huge protest where everything was booked up and prices jacked up to the gazookie.

These kids are not activists! They are fighting for saving themselves from the trigger happy people of the country where they live. The Citizens of the countries are not defenseless where strong Gun Control laws are in existence! These are my opinions. I have no problem if anyone disagrees with me!
