Lavender, Bone Broth, Tee Totalling, and Quaker Gatherings

I Love all things lavender.

Earlier this month, My GF & I went to a political gathering. There was lavender tea. I checked the ingredients - Lavender, Honey, Club Soda, VODKA!!!! Yikes! Vodka for me is BIG Trouble. What a waste of lavender. A few decades ago, I would have said what a waste of vodka.

Teetotaler meetings ALWAYS have baskets of candy bars which is very useful for someone who is having political incorrect cravings. The problem is that certain long time teetotalers munch on those candy for years after the political incorrect craving are gone. This leads to forever expanding politically incorrect curves along with other various health challenges.

A health scare earlier this year convinced me that I needed to make some drastic life style changes. Bone Broth has been a God Sent for me. This week, I started a Bone Broth Intermittent fast. This involves a 10 hours window that allows eating followed by 14 hours of fasting using bone broth to control the hunger and cravings
.

I have been avoiding most functions during this fast in order to avoid the bad stuff. I can't do that on a permanent basis. Next week, I am going to Kentucky for a Quaker related business meeting. The following week, I will be attending the West Virginia Quaker Fall Gathering. Quaker potlucks are like most church potlucks. WAY TOO GOOD!!!! I am not going back to the same crummy habits that created these health problems in the first place. I am carrying cartons of bone broth with me. Maybe I should carry it in a canteen but folks might think I reverted back to my old non-teetotalling day.

I will do what I have to do because I am determined to get on that zipline and fly across that crocodile farm.

I admire your perseverance with the bone broth and healthier eating habits. I gave up on the broth, and now use collagen powder. It probably doesn't have all the benefits of the broth, but it doesn't have the sodium of store bought broth either, and I don't want to make my own like you and many others do.
I don't intend to do any zipping across alligators, but I have been slowly shedding a few pounds, which is a big plus for my knees.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

The health scare that I experienced in April sent me a message that I better make some drastic changes. This weight thing has been a life long battle but I seem to be getting the upper hand on it for a change.

Ziplining is a fun adventure but doing over alligators makes it even more adventurous and fun.
