New Year2019 and Old X-mas on the 7th

New Years Eve was quiet. I stayed at home in my jammies. New Years Day - We had plans for a Book Club meeting at the Osteopathic College. I was at the College at ten in the morning. Alas, no one was there. Thank God for cell phones. My girlfriend informed me that the group decided to meet at the Main Street Book Store for the Shanghai Parade.

Cool! I drove to a closer parking lot, walked to the Wild Bean for a fancy cup of Java and strolled down the block to meet my Book Club buddies. I mentioned that my Republican was going to be in the parade. He would be zooming down the block on a motorcycle wearing a Shriner hat. How sexy is that. I offered to compromise his virtue in the Old Stone Church Graveyard. He suggested that we wait until Spring. I haven't compromised his virtue. I did kiss him in front of the whole parade and all his Shriner buddies.

I decided to talk about Saturn Return at our Book Club Meeting and did a reading for one of our members afterward. Natal, Solar, Venus and Saturn Returns and played cards as well. I have always been told that what we do on the first day of the year is a indication of what the rest of the year should be like. It was an interesting day, it should be an interesting year.

The Seventh of January is Old Christmas. It is time for the tree to get unplugged and go back into it's box.

The younger generations may have seen your day as one filled with bustling activity and aggravation at the mix up in locations. Sometimes, they seem to be rushing somewhere all the time. I wonder if we were that way? I don't remember it, I remember the busy-ness of trying to balance work with family obligations, but I also remember lots of quieter times with the family.
Anyway, it looks like you had a great day with activities you enjoy and friends. I think we stop and smell the roses more as we get older. I know I am more aware of they joy of little things these days.
