DeCluttering Challenge

My sister classifies herself as OCD when it comes to housekeeping. I am more like ADD when it comes to housekeeping. People have their virtues and being a domestic goddess is not one of mine. They also have their shortcomings and being a nondomestic goddess is one of mine.

When I sold our house, I got rid of practically everything. My late husband hung on to everything. I made it all go away. I moved into a smaller place with about six Sterilite Footlocker which now double as furniture. I purchased a bed and a computer desk and decided to keep it minimal.

It is amazing how easy it is to quickly accumulate "stuff" which is a glaring reality in a small space. Thus, I've created a 30 day decluttering mission. I have a zillion books that will be listed on the bay or donated to the library. The first thing going are the books promoting Trump Derangement Syndrome.. I gathered my corset and similar attire-sold it all as a lot - making some fast $$$$$. Most of it was seldom if at all gently worn but mostly sitting in the closet.

I purchased a 2-Tier Nonslip Stainless Steel Dish Rack With Chopstick Holder, Moveable S-Hooks, Cutting Board Holder, Double Grooves and now my kitchen is semi-organized.

Even more delightful is the cute little robotic vacuum that runs around the house all by itself. I may never be Susie Homemaker but I can tell Alexis to play music for it

Sometimes we just have to work with our character defects to transform who we are. It's all good.

    Quoting  :

I actually DID go to Texas to learn to build a tiny dome house. I quickly learned that they are not inexpensive. Building codes and zoning laws can be hassle. I also know myself well enough to know that I like being in town and would not care to live in the wilderness off the grid.

I went to Italy, Texas to learn to build Dome houses. The company built the High School Gyms in the community which are used as tornado shelters. These houses can withstand most natural disasters. I was told that Texas has the best zoning laws for building them. I don't think I could deal with living in Texas. It's too flat. I like my mountains. I was also told that the Dome houses are frequently built in Florida which can hold up in hurricanes. I would love to have one but it's not within my financial realities. I have everything I need in this senior apartment so I can't complain. If I have issues with cluttering in this apartment, it would be a real mess in a tiny house. My Higher Power gives me what I need even if it's not everything I want and frequently has better sense than I do.

I am a clutterer and a procrastinator. 'Nuff said.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
