PHOTO SUNDAY!!! JadeEquals Prosperity-TimeToShareTheMAGICK!!!!

Earlier this year, I was admiring the biggest Jade Plant I've ever seen. My Quaker girlfriend said it was the from a cutting of a cutting from the biggest jade plant she ever saw. She was telling me they thrive on negligent, they like lots of sunshine, very little water and they like being rootbound. They don't like cold weather. I learned the hard way with previous jade growing adventures.

I asked her for a cutting and she gave me one already potted. I named the Jade Plant Otis. I have already had to transfer Otis to a different pot twice and did some pruning so Otis will be bushy instead of tall and straggling.

Now it's time to turn the cuttings into plants and SHARE!!!!!

Good Luck. Jade plants are primarily green, the color of growth, renewal, and spring. Jades bring good luck in the form of wealth, and having them in the home is said to boost mental acuity with the increase in oxygen they release into the home.

I noticed this morning my pumpkin patch has it's first flower. Soon Flower will turn into the Great Pumpkin!!!! Charlie Brown will be delighted.

I once saw a Jade plant that was almost three foot tall and about the same size around.... It was beautiful. I thought of buying it, but was afraid that I would kill it.
Another very hardy and lovely plant is the Dieffenbachia. Someone named Silvia once gave me one, so I called it Silvia. It got quite large and seemed to enjoy neglect, but we shut the heat off to a room one winter, and forgot to bring her into the heated area of the house. Evidently, she didn't tolerate freezing temps.
And my all time favorite is the peace lily. Even when it looks all dead and wilted, a good watering usually brings it back to life.
Happy First Day to you too!
