Bacon, Street Tacos, Chocolate, and the Preacher's Wife

Yesterday was follow- day for the surgeon in Charleston. My friend the preacher's wife offered to drive . We always have so much fun when we get together along with some very interesting conversation.

Ironically, when I was coming home from Charleston, I called her on the cell phone. She was in her car in the parking lot in Roanoke, Virginia where her husband was having emergency surgery. He had to have his gull bladder removed and came home to a liquid diet. Joy. He finally broke the fast with tacos and is back preaching.

When I made it the Surgeon's office in Charleston, West Virginia, he examined my belly and told that I could eat what I wanted, just take it slow. I told him that the Chinese Restaurant that we drove past looked REALLY tempting. He looked at and admonishing, "You are really giving a rough time." Laughing, I advised him that "Sushi was raw fish thus bait, dipped in Wasabi lures passions. It's guaranteed way get lucky." He remarks, Maybe I should go get some Sushi. As I was leaving, I remarked, "You really are cute, you should definitely go visit that Chinese Restaurant." His staff started l.

I was back in the car and the preacher's wife offered take a Chinese Restaurant. I opted for something a tad bit more simple. Cracker Barrel, Bacon, eggs, and grits. Every bite was fantastic after that obnoxious liquid diet. While she was in the ladies room, I bought her a bag of chocolates. She insisted that I keep at least on bar so I took the duplicate.

That night, I made street tacos and had the chocolate bar for desert. Yum.

When I got to the parking lot of my home, my Jamaican gentleman friend was on the sidewalk. We agreed to get together for a picnic when the weather gets warmer. Ya Ya's chocolate with the chocolate man, That can be an awesome combination.

Sounds like you really enjoyed what you ate. Liquid diets are not fun but necessary before a colonoscopy. I wish they would find a better way. That said, my dad died of colon cancer so better a colonoscopy that could find things early.

You sure didn't ease into to the heavy foods. LOL. I don't blame
you. If something bothers you, you will know it and fast!
I remember when I had my gall bladder out and the doctor told me I could eat whatever I wanted. Older folks who had had the same surgery gave me all kinds of dire warnings about what I shouldn't eat. I'm glad I paid no attention to them, I never had a problem.
I'm glad you are doing so well.
