Throw Back Thursday - The Ate My Bible My 12 Step Training taught me to connect with God of my understanding. It was a relief to not have to listen to a Preacher ranting about all that "Fire, Brimstone, God is gonna get ya!" nonsense. When I was five years sober, I decided that I needed a Religion. I researched the different religions and discovered that the Episcopalians were the most educated. Since I value education, I decided to stick with the winners and became an Episcopalian. Since that time, I've become Unitarian when I am not meditating with the Quakers Indeed Episcopalian were educated in their thinking. Yes there is a God who proves himself through coincidences. The Bible contains Truths but may not be all literal Facts. So What. Mythology is not a bad thing - Many Major Religions explain things through Mythology. I purchased a New Jerusalem Bible and a Book of Common Prayers. The got ahold of my Bible and chewed it up to Smithereens. The Vicar suggested that I simply throw it away and buy a new Bible. That was an easy solution. The Catholics burnt Martin Luther's Version of the Bible but it didn't stop the Lutherans from creating a Reformation. If Ben Laden opted to Burn Bibles - It won't stop Christians from being Christians. The Christian Bookstores can charge him double for the Bibles. So Now there is much ado about this Loonytoon Preacher who wants to burn the Koran on September 11th. This is really stupid. Nevertheless, Preacher Terry Jones has a solid constitutional right to burn any book he wants as long as he doesn't violate fire code. If he burns Korans, it doesn't change the words in the ones that the Law-abiding Citizens in the United States Possess. The only thing Preacher Terry Jones actions accomplish is to reveal him for the nutcase that he is. He is the reason why some folks opts to be non Christians. It is called manipulating Spiritual concepts for Political and personal Power. The ate my Bible but it didn't stop me from finding a Spiritual Walk.  Abracadabra  |

This Blog was written in 2010. I have since become an official Quaker. Ironically, there are several PhD's, a Double Masters, and a M.D. I am the only one with a humble Associates degree although I have taken several miscellaneous classes on several miscellaneous subjects. Our Book Club meetings are always interesting. Abracadabra

I remember a boy in school telling the teacher that the dog ate his homework, I can't remember her reaction, more than likely a clip round the ear lol. Good TBT post.

Today the world is a much better place. Catholic Bishop John McCormack is DEAD. That bastard is the one who transferred queer child molesting catholic priests from one parish to another in order for the vatican to protect them and allow them to molest even more victims. May he burn in hell forever or wherever those SOBS go when they die. Catholicism --A haven of queer child molestors---How wonderful it must feel to be a part of that religion. Hail Mary!

NO DOG ATE MY BIBLE BUT THE PERSON TO WHOM I LENT IT NEVER RETURNED IT. SO I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE EVEN THOUGH I LOOK UPON IT ALL AS MYTHOLOGY AND BELIEVE VERY LITTLE. BURNING BOOKS IS A VERY BAD IDEA AND LEADS TO TOTALITARIAN GOVERNMENTS AND MIND CONTROL.
