Check Mate!!!! My 0lder s0n learned to play chess at a very young age. He taught his s0n who is F0UR to play. The grands0n knows how to set up the board and how the pieces move but still has the attention span of a F0ur year 0ld. I was playing chess with my grands0n. He was getting a lot of coaching from his father. I commented, "I want Kal-el in checkmate. He comments, "I want GRANDMA in Checkmate." It was so cute, I had to laugh! Eventually his attention span went else where and his Dad finished the game so Grandma went into Checkmate. My s0n did comment that I play better than he remembered. LOL! So many things that my grands0n says and does reminds me of my s0n at that age. My s0n and I frequently played chess while I was visiting. He say he was glad to have a chess partner because he usually plays with a F0ur year 0ld. Don't worry, I told him, in a few years Kal-el will be beating him in chess. That's the goal. We always want our to do better than us.  Abracadabra  |

There was also cards with Yoga positions. My grands0n was showing me yoga position. I told him that Grandma can't do yoga positions without the help of yoga blocks and even then it's not a pretty sight. Abracadabra

Chuckling here, I haven't played chess in decades! My first husband liked checkers, but not chess and the only one of the kids that seemed interested at all was my oldest son. When he was in high school, if I was the only one still awake when he got home, I would be sitting at the table with the chess board set up. He would say, "You want to lose again, Mom?" I would respond, "Sit your butt down and lose!" He actually did win about 75% of the time. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Several years ago I was walking in the forest and spotted a square corner poking out of a hollow under a tree root.....I had to dig out quite a lot of Squirrel left-overs and moss, but eventually I found a travelling Chess set in a folding tin box......I stuck it back in the hole....I tried to imagine why someone stored it there.....
