Relocation!!!! A tale of three different possibilities!!! My landlord sent me a dubious love letter telling me of his intentions to raise my rent considerable higher by April. I sent him a notification of my intent to leave by April. The man is a bully who tends to target women. My challenge is to find a diplomatic way to deal with him. Bullies keep going if you ignore them. Sinking to their level backfires. Thus it's time to move on. I have considered a move to Atlanta, Georgia. I have also considered Charleston, West Virginia. There is also the possibility of moving someplace in the same community closer. Medical care in this community is underserved. I had to travel to Charleston anyway. My and the grandsons reside in the Atlanta area. I am sure that the medical care is much better. I used to love to hop on the train and book a hostel in Washington D.C. for activism and lobbying adventures. Sadly, the pandemic, January 6th, and the recessions has changed all that. Atlanta and Charleston are both State Capitols. I would not need to travel to Washington D.C. to lobby. However when I contacted Senior Apartments in Atlanta, I was told that there is a VERY long waiting list. I submitted an application in Lewisburg, West Virginia which is my local community. I was told that there is a short waiting list. I have a lot of people and places that I love in this community. Also, a pending romance with the Scorpio Barrister complicates the plans. I totally adore my Scorpio Barrister. I have known him for years but never that considered the possibility that it would go anywhere. We are still in the friend zone. Love Connections haven't worked out too well for me in the past. I should probably run like Hades. I suspect that I will land where I am suppose to land. Life on life's terms.  Abracadabra  |

We live about 2 hours from Atlanta. We try to skirt going into Atlanta to avoid the gawd awful drivers! You can look down skirting Atlanta and see at least one or two wrecks.

I know, I wrote the blog and had to run out the door before writing the comment. I figured that I would get it when I got home. One of the reasons I am seriously considering the next town is because it is so close to all the things that bring joy. The local theater that livestreams operas from the Met. The Aqua Center, Ad Infinitum. That Scorpio Barrister is a definite motivation to stay local. He is an Armenian version of Koffla. Hot! Hot! Hot! I used to sit and meetings listening to Mr. Scorpio Barrister and ask God, "Please send me someone like Steve!!! My Higher Power has a wicked sense of humor. Abracadabra

DO YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO BE IN A SENIOR RESIDENCE? WHAT ARE RENTS LIKE IN CHARLESTON? CHANGING STATES CAN BE A NUISANCE AND IF YOU STAY IN W.V YOU WOULD NOT BE ALL THAT FAR FROM YOUR SCORPIO FRIEND. ALL MY BEST WISHES.
