How Clean Is YOur House?

I have been watching a televison program about two English Ladies who inspect messy houses and tell the occupants how to get it in order.

Never did I suspect that I would be doing the same thing to get my Brother's House in Order. I have never been accused of being a Domestic Goddess however......... I have been cleaning his room with a rake and shovel. No wonder he got sick.

There is always the possibility that he may not be able to return home even when I do get it clean. It's amazing how many disease causing bacterias and creepy crawlers grow in messy room.

Some of the tips - I've gotten from the program.

In warm, humid weather, bacteria can really multiply in your dishcloth. To help keep it clean, you can simply stick it in your dishwasher (if you have one) at the end of the day with the rest of the load, or just leave it in the sink overnight with a little washing up liquid and bleach. Quick and easy.

Drains do tend to get smelly, especially in warm weather. By pouring down some washing baking soda and boiling water you should be able to clear the offending blockages of grease and grime.

To get rid of kitchen oders, simply simmer some orange peel, cloves and water for 10 minutes.[/I

I did a "major" cleaning in my kitchen today. It was one of those days that found me with lots of energy and I took advantage of it.

You are a good Sis and you are right. I remember when I lived with my brother for awhile. Although things looked clean on the outside, they weren't and I remember getting a fever sore cause his cleaning habits weren't all that great. Okay, for him I guess, he was used to it. Not me tho.
