This Blog is a Focus on FEAR and the Workplace A few years ago, FEAR of DRIVING was listed on an Inventory Lo and Behold - A few months later I acquired a job as a DRIVER for a company that contracted with the DOT. The job consisted of assisting stranded drivers, removing debris (including roadkill) off the interstate, traffic control after accidents, ad infinitum. I learned to drive in all kinds of weather conditions. A year later, I found myself driving on the Texas Super Highways. Four Months after the Texas experience, I drove a U-Haul from Texas to Nevada. When I got to Nevada, I acquired a Wal-Mart job 40 miles from my Abode and drove a "God Car" that overheated frequently and went "ding ding ding" all the way to WalMart. I even went to Truckdriver School but decided I don't like Driving THAT much. I was REALLY in my comfort zone at Wal-Mart's Meat Market in Alleghany County, Virginia. The Work was Physical but easily doable. I liked my Boss and Co-Workers. I loved my humble Abode on Main Street that was less than two miles from Work. I had decided that "No Man's Land" was just fine with me. Alone is better than dealing with "Pain in the Gluteous Maximus Himself." Along Comes Mr. Joe. Taurus Sun, Capricorn Moon with Gemini Rising. He has enough Earth to bring a feeling of stability with enough Air to not be an old stick in the mud. Taurus Sun Men are easy to please. Show up Naked and bring Food. Capricorn Moon has a practical almost business like approach to matter of the heart. Gemini Rising is the "RIGHT NOW!" Man. Quick Decisions and Move while the Iron is Hot or Gemini Rising loses interest. The Opportunity was presented so....... I made the choice to "GO FOR IT!" Hence, I am now sleeping naked in Mr. Joe's Bed and cooking more than I have in years. AllRecipe fills in the Gaps missing from my Old Betty crocker Memories. My theory is that Love is something to grow into rather than something to fall into. Nevertheless, each Day with Mr. Joe is more precious than the previous day. It was necessary for me to transfer to a Closer Wal-Mart. The Closest Wal-Mart is NOT a SuperCenter so I opted to transfer to Sam's Club hoping that they would put me in the Bakery or Meat Department. What happened is they made me a CASHIER!!!!! Gadzook!!! This is almost scarier than the driving job. People, people lots of people and $$$$$$$$$. My brain is totally retrograde when it comes to numbers. Oh Well! I will give it six months and transfer someplace else. If I appeared baffled while taking care of all those customers..............I was. Each cash register usually does averages over $10,000 of business a day. I had nightmares of making mistakes and getting fired. I finally concluded...........If I get fired so what. It's not misconduct. I'll collect unemployment and get another job. It's certainly not the first time I've been fired from a job. Getting Fired is not on the Agenda but if it happens I'll survive. So.........Last week, I was counting the register and discovered that I was $18. short. Opps! I am sooooooooooo Fired. I came home and started doing an on-line application as a Welfare Worker. More $$$$$ and Health Insurance After all that's what I went to College for. The Next Day I was called into the Office. "Here it comes," It was brought to my attention the $18. Shortage and the fact that a customer almost walked out with an unpaid Pizza. The Manager realizes that I haven't worked a cash register before but try to be a little more careful. I wasn't fired. That day, my cash register was only 15 Cents Short. Perfect would be better but that won't get me in trouble. I was advised to look at this as a learning and growing experience. I have a fear of lots of people and dealing with lots of money but I am walking through it. Still I don't think I am going to become an accountant anymore likely than I will be a Truckdriver. I am driving 27 miles one way to work and I still have that Job Application with Social Services. Life is Good. FEAR = False Evidence Appearing Real  Abracadabra  |

"Fear" and "Indecision" will paralyze ONE "SEX" on the other hand ,can be mastered rather readily . !! Thank You , Star ..Good Luck to you and Joe
