Women's Equality Day

Women's Equality Day is today August 26 -- commemorating the day in 1920 when American
women were granted the right to vote. Although voting is a right most women in the
U.S. take for granted now, it didn't happen overnight. The Women's Suffrage movement
actually began in 1848. Think of all the wise women who worked so hard over all those years to take this major step towards equality for women!

I'm sure you know some wise or courageous women you'd like to honor with a gift,
favor or kind word on this special day. Remember the women in your life who worked so hard so we could get to where we are today. It is not equal yet but the 's of our generation have it far better then our Mother's and Grandmother's ever did so remember them and honor all women today!

Lady my Aunt showed me the place last summer where it all started in Clarkston, Michigan. If only they had known where it would go.
