Well I've Gone And Done It.........................

I went to the Blue Cross Animal Sanctury this morning and reserved a dog. Her name is Trudy, she is a tan and white collie. Nice Nature but a bit nervous when out walking. She is an older but really caught my eye.
I'm going for another visit tomorrow and to book a Home Visit. If all goes well I should be able to bring her her in a couple of weeks.
Trudy is very different to Sally. I hope I can make her last few years as happy as Sall and I had when we were together.
Now I must go and salvage my roast beef.
Bye for now.

Leah ... Bless you for taking a dog from a shelter. They make excellent companions and I always felt that they are special.

Leah:

Our Sammy is a rescue we found at our local animal shelter. He is the most awesome dog I've ever had. He was initually very skittish and shy but with lots of love he has really come out of his shell. He has even started to talk to me. He sounds so silly making those little doggie sounds trying to communicate.

Our other dog we found off Craiglist. The young man that we got him from was going back to school and had to move. We were so happy to take Chico off his hands.

We love both our little fur babies. They bring so much joy to our life. I think rescue dogs make the best pets.

Good Luck and post some pictures when you can.

Congratulations to both you and Trudy. May you have many happy years together. It's a good thing to take an older pet. Hopefully the weeks will fly by for the best of you and she will be home with you soon.

Good luck with your new dog pal. Mine is laying in the floor stretched out asleep, like she's queen for the day.
