Friday's Bouquet

It is wintry cold but the leaves are still green; even the maple that I have keeping an eye on is only yellow. It is funny but here, in the Land Down Under, things are often the reverse of those up north. For example, red leaves are seen in spring and pretty blossoms that look like plum or cherry, in autumn. You don't believe me? Then take a look at this aloe vera flower. Remember it is winter now.

Pretty Lee! I haven't seen that color of Aloe!

Do you think it's the temperature will change the colors of them even trees?

Thank you for sharing!

Sorry Sl,

I don't know as this is the first time I have seen this flower. I have thought that it only blooms in winter.

Even the plants are a bit different than here. I have several aloe plants but none have bright flowers no matter what time of the year it is. Mine also bloom in the winter.

I don't know Poet.
I assume that they bloom in winter because I can see a flower bud beside the flower. You can try putting them in an air-cond room.

Hi Roxy,

I have never seen one before too. But then again, thus is only my second winter.

Poet,

You have to put it near a window. I think it still needs sunlight to bloom.
