Photo Monday

Char Koay Kak (Fried Rice Cake) is a popular street food in Malaysia and is usually eaten for breakfast. Batches of rice cubes are fried in a flat pan about two and a half feet in diameter. The large pan allows frying for different tastes (eg spicy, with egg or shrimps) at different parts of it. The hawker in the photo has been frying Koay Kak at the morning market for more than twenty years now.

Interesting breakfast food but it sounds like something that would set well in the empty tummy.
