I'm curious, Lee. Are those different parts of the same city? Or how much time between the two pictures?

They are different parts of the same city, mrsjoe. The pictures were taken from the infinity pool of my hotel. Georgetown has been classified as a heritage city by UNESCO so many of the old buildings have been preserved.

et,
The beach and vegetation are still there but to the north. The pictures are of Georgetown and most of the old buildings are preserved as Georgetown's attraction is that it is a heritage city. However, hotels need to be built to accommodate the hordes of tourists.

Thank you for the explanation, Lee. It is fascinating to see the "old" beside the "new".
