Lee, I always enjoy your photos, and look carefully at the backgrounds in them because they show me a part of the world I would not otherwise get to see. I'm curious about the yellow boats..... I wonder why yellow? Are they the boats that go out fishing, or do people live aboard them?

No, mrsjoe, people do not live aboard them. I think the boards are colour-coded and the yellow boats are fishing boats. The blue boaters are cockle boats and the passenger boats, one in the middle of the river, are white.

Thank you, Lee, for answering my questions. I wish you a Merry Christmas, or happiness in whatever holiday you might celebrate at this time of year.

Hi Lee, great photos and an interesting piece of information about the boat colors.
I have been to 47 different countries but have never been in your part of the world. Thanks for sharing.
