I've decided to become a "lurker"

I've decided to become a "lurker"
And sit in the chat-rooms in a corner
To watch the hateful fights
See who violates whose rights
Maybe I'll net myself a "pot-stirrer"

I had to read your blog to find out what a "lurker" was. I didn't know there was a name for "just checking the conversations out", so now I know!
If there is ever a time you would like to chat with someone you can chat with me.

This i a sweet blog.....because you believe in the little people, the poem you wrote in response to my poem about the peeing faery, you have completely transformed my image of a "lurker". You have robbed the term of it's insidious connotations....a lurker has become a lovable little gremlin. He must, I think, be green, with a lizard-like tail.Maybe he is related to the lounge lizard. Are you fond of swing by any chance?

...sounds boring...urge could probably teach you swing dance lessons in the same amount of time!...

Easier said than done!!! I know an old song (Irish) "Oh, they say that the women are worse than the men, when they went down to hell they were thrown out again" but Im beginning to wonder on that one.
Some bitchy men around too

Cute Lee..stick your head out once in a while and say "hello" or you might get stepped on in the corner as we have to send a few there for a time out once in a while...LOL

Some believe in destiny, some believe in fate. I believe that happiness is something we create

Hi,
This is a multi-reply, just like VBG's multi-blog. (Hmm, I think I will try a multi-comment later. )

Patti,
Now that you know what lurking is, maybe you can join me sometime.

Missmermaid,
I hope that you are right that a watched pot never boils bcos that's what I hope will happen.

Urge,
A lurker is more like a chameleon as it has to blend in with the surroundings and (you are right) is a distant cousin of the lounge lizard. Are you asking swing as in dance, swing as in swinger or swing as in monkeys from a branch? The answer to all 3 is no. Like I said, we just blend in.

Jimbob,
I agree with you; bitches cannot be male but males can be bitchy.

MsEducator,
Maybe you will join us someday.

Valentine,
It may sound boring but Jimbob says it's good and we can observe a lot. Besides, I don't think Urge is talking about swing dance.

Robyn,
Like I said above, bitches cannot be male but males can be bitchy.

Roxy,
Okay. I will keep you posted from time to time.

Red,
Thanks for the invitation but don't you normally send them to Coventry?

Denver,
So you were the one I saw on the wall! I bet they saw you too which is why they behaved. Maybe you visit more often.

Peg,
There are others but there are lots of corners in the various chat-rooms. If one get crowded, I can just move to another room. Yes, it is hard to keep our mouths shut sometimes which is why a lurker has to have strong willpower.

GreatSmile4U,
I agree. Flirting is definitely much better than fighting. Don't fret. Denver says he has not seen fighting.

gracie,
Thanks for the invitation. Chatting may be more fun but lurking is my talent. Furthermore, quoting urge, we are now lovable little gremlins!

Loon,
Denver has not seen any fights too so your vision is good. Maybe, it's because you go in late at night too.

shirl,
How sad. I would love to see you in action. I can't chat either bcos I am a single finger typer.

    Quoting  :

Hi summer,
Don't you know that lurkers are now lovable little gremlins? Who would want to be a chatter anymore?
