This is what marriage is really all about....

I wonder how long love in its new begginings will last before it settles into monotony specially for us senior folks. when does your lover become your 'friend'? when does hot sex become quiet companionship? or is it that (companionship) which we all seek during our golden years? I hope love never dies...and at some point the feelings become more intense even if the physical settles down.

pic: willyMakit and I went out one early morning (in the tricycle) and took pictures of the beautiful sunrise over the river and mountains.

take care ya'll! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

This is what marriage is really all about . . . . ...

He ordered one hamburger, one order of French fries and one drink. The old man unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in half.. He placed one half in front of his wife. He then carefully counted out the French fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife.

He took a sip of the drink, his wife took a sip and then set the cup down between them. As he began to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them kept looking over and whispering. You could tell they were thinking, 'That poor old couple - all they can afford is one m eal for the two of them.'

As the man began to eat his fries a young man came to the table. He politely offered to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man said they were just fine - They were used to sharing everything.

The surrounding people noticed the little old lady hadn't eaten a bite. She sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.

Again the young man came over and begged them to let him buy another meal for them.. This time the old woman said 'No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything.'

As the old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again came over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asked 'What is it you're waiting for?'

She answered . . . . ...

(This is great)

Beautiful pic and it must have been so romantic to share the sight with Willy. You are both so very lucky to have found each other.

Re: love: This time I'm counting on it never ending.

Re: the teeth...ewww...but ain't love grand!! Thanks for the cute story.

The positive is there. Sometimes it's just hard to find.

Maynilabelle:

I've read this before but it still give me a laugh.

A while back Mac and I were out running errands and stopped in Walmart. Walmarts here has a Micky D's inside. We were a bit hungry but not for anything too heavy. We initially joked about ordering a Happy Meal because it would be just the right size. So I went to the counter and ordered. The young lady there was very sweet and even asked me what prize we wanted inside. I chose one Boy and one Girl toy. LOL.

Since then we stop in Mc-D's and are not shy about getting our happy meal. It's just the perfect size meal for a senior, it's cheaper then ordering each item individually. And we have a cool collection of toys. ROFL.

One of the reasons I believe in being good friends first and foremost?
