As I approach them... my fears are revealed As I see them for what they are... Decoys of deception...lingering just out of the reach of Your light Baiting me... luring me back to the darkness to hide my heart. As I slip into the shadows Your warmth and light touch me... melting my cold heart Allowing the frozen tears to flow from my wounds life has inflicted The instant Your reflected love touches these tears... They sparkle with a brilliance that destroys the darkness and deception. Your grace and mercy has found me in this newborn light As I look around... there is no more darkness for my fears to hide in No agony... no pain... no regrets... only You touching me. And me loving You... as You call me by my name. |
