New Beginnings

Seems like everytime we get things in order, we get knocked for a loop. This happened to me the 12 of this month. I ended up traveling in 4 ambulances, an airplane and two hospitals after having pains at work. I had emergency surgery. Thank God I made it in time. Life is so short. We take so much for granted. I had my retirement date all set for next May, a trip to Alaska planned in June, and my car paid off. Now some of this is on the back burner. I will make things work out but once again, God let me know we are not always in control. He did give me a wake up call and a renewed look on life. He also gave me a lot of new beginnings.
Here's love, memories, and new beginnings to all. Enjoy every moment to the fullest!!

Carollee...How frightening that must have been for you! I'm glad you are doing better and are well enough to be writing here today. It is wild the way things work out, how things happen just when we think we have everything under control. I've decided lately that God has lessons He wants me to learn and He is just going to keep presenting them in as many ways as many times as necessary for me to learn those lessons, lol. (I can be stubborn and a slow learner, lol!). You are so right about living life to the fullest...we need to always treat every day as a special gift (I'm working on this one, lol!). I hope that everything works out for you and you are able to work out all your plans. Merry Christmas! ~~ Katy

Dear Carollee: Your whole experience sounds so terrifying. There have been so many blogs lately about members with health problems, trips to the ER, surgeries, etc. I myself am trying to recover from two very unexpected surgeries and most if not all of my plans for the future just seemed to vanish overnight. I hope you will be o.k. and if you need someone to talk to about your experience, please write to me anytime as I am a good listener. All the best to you, Bijou xoxo

I was more fortunate. God gave me my wake-up call when I was in my late 20's. Don't know how I would have handled it at my current age.
