Just an Invitation!! I have wanted to invite all of you, dear friends to reflect upon the reasons that make us all want to be here at SFF. Before I may say anything else, I sure want to let everyone and each of you, that to me, it has been simply wonderful to meet you, to read your blogs,by the way, what a nice thing to have, our own blogs. To get to know those who come in the chat rooms. Thanks... you all have kept me company. You see, I do have a . My is a wonderful young man. He is 21 years old. He is in a 100% drug and alcohol free band. Three of four members of the group are all graduates with their MA degrees from other countries. Not my , he is still studying and is a great drum player and a tenor. He prefers his drums than singing. He is home on Thursday evenings for rehearsal. This fact leaves me alone at home. But, I am never lonely. I have found in many of you the company which most of us do look for. A new friend who across the miles, and in spite of the distance does show he or she cares about us. Once again I thank you for this from the bottom of my heart. I now proceed with my invitation to all of you. YES, and invitation to please never forget to be kind to those who like us, are here wanting to share a good moment. An invitation to please exercise our tolerance with those who think differently from us. An invitation to exercise our capacity to understand those who have a hard time expressing themselves. An invitation to allow compassion for those who have a very difficult time in showing that they also care. An invitation to treat all with respect in spite of our nationality, race, creed, and religion. An invitation to love those whom we know that they feel that we are not possibly making them feel welcome. An invitation to keep silence when we have to because it is the best thing to do. An invitation to express our own opinion and still not with the desire to become judges, nor executioners. I have learned this here, and yet, to realize that not saying much about all helps me maintain my inner joy. It is simply a wonderful place to come and relax, enjoy, and share. Maybe in our path through SFF, we may find ourselves confused and ostracized. We may feel insulted and left out. We may come in and feel sad for any reason, and all of these reasons should not stop us from wanting to be here simply because we know we will find good hearted people, whose need for love, understanding, and acceptance is similar to the one most of us may feel. Thanks also for being corageous and expressing it so if someone does say something that is intended to hurt someone. But even so, do not forget to deal with it with dignity and self respect. There is no need to hurt anyone. I have learned to step aside if someone in the chat does not address me, I understand. I value trust very much. I want is to have you ALL to come and join us. My admiration to all whose heart is so full of love and they have shown how they care for the suffering of others. I have loved to be here. We are not getting any younger, but the youth in our hearts prevails. Thanks for being here and for allowing me to call you my friends. Miles523 Maria |
