Tax Cuts... Trickle Down Economics

There's something people don't understand when it comes to Business and Corporation taxes......To pay them... YOU HAVE TO MAKE A PROFIT.

So tax expenditures are marginal to only PROFIT.

With tax cuts the question becomes where does the Additional Profit go.
Well they would have you believe it's trickle down economics...... the more profit THEY make the better off YOU are. When the truth is just the opposite.. the better off YOU are, the more profit THEY make.

For the Wealthy, Business and Corporation... there are substantial tax loopholes, that create tax avoidance. You need to remember that only effects the PROFITABLE, You don't get it. You don't get to use it.
A paper reduction in profit, creates more tax advantage than tax cuts. Hiding profit so you pay no taxes on it, is far more substantial, than paying less taxes by a tax cut. The only thing that matters is that businesses do not like the government telling them what they need to do to avoid taxes. Which is ironic to tax cuts, and the opposite of what they are telling you. Because what the government allows them to do to avoid taxes.. Is improve the economy. Now, we are suppose to believe they are just going to do it, on their own.

The fact is... what we have now is "trickle down economics".. and more profit isn't going to increase the trickle.

When we look at Businesses and Corporation one needs to understand the options they have to make themselves MORE PROFITABLE. Tax relief is only one option, and is only marginal to PROFIT... You got to make a PROFIT to pay taxes.
The first option is to ALWAYS make PROFIT

Business and Corporation, don't look a gift in the mouth, they'll take profit anywhere they can get it. but do YOU think they have a notion.. to take that Profit and use it to improve the economy? It may happen, but it doesn't happen because they choose to make it happen.

The reason, the rates are so high in this country, is because too many people don't pay their fair share, and this causes those that do, to pay more.

Well I disagree it adds jobs. Not to the extent anyone who wants the tax cut, believes.

Again a tax cut is a marginal profit, an investments are based upon a rate of return, The marginal profit obtained creates only marginal investment opportunities. And the marginal profit from a tax curt, does nothing to create jobs in the immediate future.. Jobs are created from long term investment not marginal investment. Employers are not going add more jobs, or give pay raises. simply because they have more profit. Every decision that companies make is about making PROFIT. they do not consider themselves a charity to employees or the ECONOMY. It takes a long time for marginal profit, to be realized, and utilized for long term investment.

It is just the opposite of what you folks think.....the economy is actually increased from the bottom up. Businesses are not the entity to help the economy..... At this time, that is the government.. the largest Business ENTITY in the world. It's the government and not businesses that controls the economy......And EVERYBODY wants a Piece of the government pie. no one wants to plant a tree, or pick the cherries.
Those wealthy save or invest to MAKE MORE PROFIT... those at the bottom, have one choice and that is to SPEND. Their Spending makes profit for companies, not tax relief. So at this point what we got, is the government supplying the money to the bottom, the bottom spending, and their spending makes more profit for businesses. The businesses pay taxes and the government gives it to the bottom, they spend and businesses make more money. so on snd so on... Now, Your crazy if you think it's going work bass ackwards.

Now, I'm not telling you, that what's happening is the right thing or the best thing. but it the way it is....This government pays people to support businesses, not the way it should be...but the way it is.....If it stops, like you want it... The ECONOMY goes to hell in a hand basket.

JC, did you ever work for a "small" company, or own one? One that isn't owned by stockholders. When profits go down, so does hiring, bonuses and benefits.
My son and son in law work for such a manufacturing company. They provide 100% family healthcare insurance for their employees plus several other benefits like overtime and bonuses. About two years ago, they announced that due to lower sales and profits, they would not be hiring any new employees, overtime was cut, bonuses were cut, and they would TRY to continue with the health insurance.
This year, they have hired several new employees, including two of my grandsons (for which I am glad), workers are getting a chance to do overtime, bonus rates have been restored, and the healthcare insurance is continuing. Why? Because their profit has improved.
People also tend to forget that profit in the big corporations also goes to the shareholders..... many of which have those investments through their 401K, set up for their retirements.
Instead of worrying about how much someone else might get with this tax package, people need to check their own situations and see if they are better off or not.

Seriously? I am sure the liberal MSM has had no effect on your noodle, has it, Roxy? You are the antithesis of normal.

    Fossil

The word "normal" is completely devoid of meaning except in a mathematical or scientific sense. The word is a societal construct created by people wishing to insult those who are different than themselves. It's the byword of self-important Xenophobes.

Well, on this we agree..

Small business are on the precipice of disaster all the time. they don't have the abilities that "big" businesses have. They deserve every tax break they can get. They cant' threaten to move, they can't manipulate their taxes, they can't make decision about reinvestment, and don't have other avenues to make more money. They aren't beholden to stockholders. They are far more concern about how much red ink they got than blue ink. They know their employees, and many small business owners take pride and responsibility for their employees. but they are constantly in survival mode....

But are we really talking about small businesses or large corporation? What's a corporate tax cut.. going to do for small businesses? Unless you believe in "trickle down" business economics... which actually has more meaning than the general populace meaning.

Think about this, how many small business are absolutely dependent on government spending. How many communities are absolutely dependent on social security. How many small business are dependent on welfare, and government give aways, that ultimately supply them money....
whatever trickle down economic large corporation can do for small business is just a trickle, compared to what the government spending does everyday.

You continue to amaze me.

There is a difference between what you say and what leaf says.

'I do tell the truth Maisie. Why do you spread fake news?'

Are you that ignorant... My God, you just proved what he said.
You have the wrong idea about "Fake News", "Fake News" is not a lie, in most cases, It's a warped truth......In your case..... you're the queen of the warped truth.

Not a single word spoken to leaf is the whole truth.. It's a warped truth, bordering on lying.

Now, you can try dealing with leaf and get away with it, because he's actually a "nice guy", and rarely says it like it is..
but not me.....
Deal with me... I'll tell like it is

"I tell the truth maisie, Why do you lie?"

You take offense to that, but in reality, I good care less that you lie to me. What I don't understand is why you lie to YOURSELF?

Well another warped truth...

Job creators are based on demand, not supply.
Job creators, are based on the ability to spend. to buy goods and services.. Not the good and service themselves.
Job creators are based in public decisions, not corporate decision,

Just another of your warped truths about capitalism. some thing you don't have a clue about.

Please tell me what that is, legitimate sources?.

Tell me what the news is, and what it is isn't.

I don't GET my news from any source. I just get the news.

I like it... again you prove everything by saying something....It's not about News... it about the source of the news.. Like that's suppose to matter..... That describes YOU to a tee......and that is what I call... FAKE NEWS.

Do you think I get my news from a single source.. You think what I write is some sort of regurgitation.

Believe it or not, I take from all sources.... I even take from you and maisie. I put it all together... What I say is what I have come up with.
I got no meat in the pot. or a pot and a kettle.. I don't call things black.. I call things black and white. I don't stew about what I say, and I'm not trying to cook anything up.

You don't have to believe me.
Just believe this... I don't lie to myself.. so consequently....I don't lie to you.
